Welcome to the City Schools of Decatur Facilities, Grade Configuration, and Redistricting Analysis Planning Project Website. This will serve as the source for all information related to the process. This site will be updated regularly throughout the process so please check back often for new information. If you are looking for information or materials related to the grade configuration process, it can be found in the tab on the left labeled Grade Configuration Study, Spring 2017.
Come the 2019-2020 school year, City Schools of Decatur will have a grade configuration change at the elementary level from K-3 / 4-5 to K-2 / 3-5. With this comes a new upper elementary school (3-5), as well as necessary boundary changes to ensure that buildings are being utilized properly.
Upcoming Events (Updated 1/30/2018)
Because of the weather cancellation of the community meeting on January 17th, the redistricting process has been pushed back as to allow for additional community input. Below are the new dates that will be utilized for this process.
- Wednesday, February 28th- Preliminary Options survey will close
- Wednesday, March 14th- Steering Committee meeting to develop final options
- Wednesday, March 28th- Community Meeting to present and solicit feedback regarding final options
- Wednesday, April 11th- (TENTATIVE) Steering Committee meeting to develop recommendation

Please keep in mind that no decisions have been made, and that these options are being presented for your feedback. The online survey link will remain active through February 28th. The committee will review responses and create final options to be presented to the community at the March 28th Community Meeting.
