National School Boards Foundation
Dr. William S. DeJong is a former board member of the National School Boards Foundation. The Foundation's mission is to foster excellence and equity in public education through innovation in school board and community leadership.
The Foundation has three long-term goals: to integrate technology into school board leadership and community involvement; to ensure continuity of effective leadership at the school board and superintendent level; and to speed and broaden dissemination of information on best practices.
The Center for Public Education is the current initiative of the National School Boards Association and the National School Boards Foundation. The Center aims to refocus the public debate about public schools, including the important role of the local school board. Featuring a website, publications, communication tools, and more, the Center will be THE place to find up-to-date information on public education.
